The corner of Houston and Broadway (New York City, USA) is having a makeover with a difference. Temporary outdoor fences which are, in reality, safety barriers while reconstruction takes place are being erected in various colours that contain QR codes. Small plastic squares (aka put-in cups) are placed into what can only be described as chicken wire to form a section of a QR code.
To go one stage further the colours represent the actual progress of the construction site.
